Alexia Vassilika Ogden

Alexia was the first member of the team to join Canvas at its inception and works across all of our practice areas. Alexia provides commercial and regulatory advice in relation to art, culture and heritage, from advising clients on their standard terms and GDPR obligations, to large-scale projects in cultural heritage policy and review.

Alexia also has several years’ experience working in cultural heritage protection, having formerly worked as a research assistant to Professor Norman Palmer QC OBE, focusing on restitution, illicit trade and destruction of cultural property. She now provides ongoing support to the UK Committee for the Blue Shield.

As an Anglo-Greek, Alexia speaks a number of European languages and is proficient in Arabic after studying in the Middle East.

Alexia has a keen interest in the interface between art, heritage and technology stemming from her studies in Forensic Architecture at the ICA.
